What is career coaching?
While career coaching can take many shapes and forms, essentially coaching is a caring, guided effort to help you figure out what you need to reach your goals. And help you come up with steps to get you there.
Working with a coach can be especially useful during times of career transition or job search. And if there are any obstacles — seen and unseen — getting in your way, a coach can work with you to identify and help you find ways around them.
Even a career or job that once fit you well may not be working anymore. But rather than seeing that as a bad thing, the good news is these moments can also bring new ideas and opportunities. Plus it’s a chance to leave the past behind and get to a place that fits even better now.
It’s not easy for us mere mortals to get past mental blocks and old patterns that leave us feeling stuck. So that’s where a little extra coaching support can help get you to some useful answers — or simply give you the extra boost you need to get yourself “unstuck.”
Career coaching services offered
Career Transition Coaching
One of the greatest satisfactions I get as a career coach is being able to support you through challenging times. Times of change. Either in your current career or maybe a new one you’re thinking about. Helping you find answers — and even the right questions.
As an experienced career coach, I do my best to listen objectively and provide support and feedback based on your own unique needs. Together we can sort out and plan for what you really want. And which actions — even small steps to start — can help get you there.
- Career change support.
- Finding new possibilities.
- Creating a transition roadmap.
- Dealing with change “roadblocks” and detours.
Fee: $90 session (45 minutes)
Sometimes the biggest obstacle to getting a job is shaking off your own fears and doubts, so the potential employer gets to see the real you — and how well you could match their needs.
While I can’t change your skills or overall fit for any particular job, I can work with you to help you get over some of the fear. And find places where you might improve your approach.
- Confidence building.
- Interview tips and practice.
- Resume feedback.
- Interview callback support.
Fee: $90 session (45 minutes)

CAREER COACHING RECOMMENDATIONS
Paul D., Career Development Coach
“Ronnie Ann is an outstanding career development coach. She’s one of the best career coaching professionals I have met and it has been an absolute pleasure to work with her as part of my own career journey. Whether coach or coachee, my demands are simple: plans are clear & effective; the coaching relationship is based on growth, learning & trust; goals & progress are motivational today and as far as the eye can see. In my experience Ronnie Ann delivers all this and more, which is why I have no hesitation recommending her as an insightful, talented and visionary career coach.”
Kathleen N., Non-profit Manager
“Ronnie Ann worked with me as a coach during one of the hardest times of my life. After giving my all to an organization I helped create, the Board decided to get rid of me. I was devastated. I can honestly say that it was Ronnie Ann who helped me see this for what it eventually wound up being, a chance to create something new in my life. She was supportive and caring through the entire ordeal and because of her business background, she understood the organizational aspects of what I was going through, even helping me through the end stages so that I could leave with my head held high. Which I am proud to say I did! I will always be grateful to Ronnie Ann for her gentle guidance through a truly life-changing time.”
Marielle M., Publishing Website Producer
“Ronnie Ann is clever, encouraging, and inspiring. She has tremendous insight into the struggles of getting (or keeping) a job in today’s corporate atmosphere, and applies plenty of tools and talent toward helping you find your true calling amid the chaos and distractions of everyday life. She gives great advice and makes the situation you’re in, whatever it may be, seem manageable, helping you find solutions you may never have considered on your own.”
Louise A., Founder Intentional Communication Consultants
“I’ve had the pleasure to work with Ronnie Ann in a number of capacities and her dedication, attention to detail, empathy and wit have never wavered. Apart from her extensive business and non-profit expertise, Ronnie Ann’s clients can expect a deep commitment to their needs and a willingness to bring new, creative resources to every interaction. I followed her (previous) successful blog, Work Coach Cafe, closely and even with “strangers” Ronnie extended herself to offer high quality information and insights, presented with warmth and exceptional thoughtfulness. Ronnie Ann’s an exceptional career coach who will make your search for work or a new direction in life easier, more fulfilling and effective.”
