What is career coaching?
While career coaching can take many forms, essentially coaching is a caring, guided, supportive effort to help you gain the personal skills and strength you’ll need to handle whatever is happening. And help you figure out ways to improve things for yourself on an ongoing basis, whether in your current job or on the way to future career goals.
A good career coach can be especially helpful during times of change. Perhaps there are things happening around you that are affecting you and your job. Or maybe there are changes you’d like to make happen, but aren’t sure how. Or just a feeling something needs to change, even if you don’t know what that looks like yet.
And if there are obstacles getting in your way — seen or unseen — a good coach will work with you to help you identify and find ways around them. You might be surprised what a little guided exploration might help you discover … and find solutions for!
Career Coaching Services:
Career Support Coaching
One of the greatest satisfactions I get as a career coach is being able to support you through challenging times. My aim is to provide a safe place for you to share what you’re dealing with in your career … and what you’re feeling. Times of uncertainty. Times of personal transition and change. Helping you find answers — and even the right questions.
Although I do not do step-by-step job search “how to” coaching at this time, we certainly can discuss what you’re dealing with at those times too. You can find specific tips in the our Job Search Resource Center, and our coaching sessions can give you a chance to review how things are going — and maybe come up with new approaches to try.
Whatever the topic, based on many years of real-world experience as well as a counseling certificate, I do my best to listen carefully & objectively. Together we can set goals and plan for whatever you need and want. And which actions & mindsets — even small changes to start — can help get you there.

CAREER COACHING RECOMMENDATIONS
Paul D., Career Development Coach
“Ronnie Ann is an outstanding career development coach. She’s one of the best career coaching professionals I have met and it has been an absolute pleasure to work with her as part of my own career journey. Whether coach or coachee, my demands are simple: plans are clear & effective; the coaching relationship is based on growth, learning & trust; goals & progress are motivational today and as far as the eye can see. In my experience Ronnie Ann delivers all this and more, which is why I have no hesitation recommending her as an insightful, talented and visionary career coach.”
Kathleen N., Non-profit Manager
“Ronnie Ann worked with me as a coach during one of the hardest times of my life. After giving my all to an organization I helped create, the Board decided to get rid of me. I was devastated. I can honestly say that it was Ronnie Ann who helped me see this for what it eventually wound up being, a chance to create something new in my life. She was supportive and caring through the entire ordeal and because of her business background, she understood the organizational aspects of what I was going through, even helping me through the end stages so that I could leave with my head held high. Which I am proud to say I did! I will always be grateful to Ronnie Ann for her gentle guidance through a truly life-changing time.”
Marielle M., Publishing Website Producer
“Ronnie Ann is clever, encouraging, and inspiring. She has tremendous insight into the struggles of getting (or keeping) a job in today’s corporate atmosphere, and applies plenty of tools and talent toward helping you find your true calling amid the chaos and distractions of everyday life. She gives great advice and makes the situation you’re in, whatever it may be, seem manageable, helping you find solutions you may never have considered on your own.”
Louise A., Founder Intentional Communication Consultants
“I’ve had the pleasure to work with Ronnie Ann in a number of capacities and her dedication, attention to detail, empathy and wit have never wavered. Apart from her extensive business and non-profit expertise, Ronnie Ann’s clients can expect a deep commitment to their needs and a willingness to bring new, creative resources to every interaction. I followed her (previous) successful blog, Work Coach Cafe, closely and even with “strangers” Ronnie extended herself to offer high quality information and insights, presented with warmth and exceptional thoughtfulness. Ronnie Ann’s an exceptional career coach who will make your search for work or a new direction in life easier, more fulfilling and effective.”
